François Gautier, born in Paris, France, was the South Asia correspondent for Le Figaro (one of France’s leading newspapers) for several decades. He is the author of twenty books on a variety of subjects, including the bestseller The Guru of Joy: Sri Sri Ravi Shankar & the Art of Living, which has sold over 200,000 copies. He, along with his wife Namrita, shuttles from Pondicherry (Puducherry) to Pune to Delhi.
